FORMER NFL star Chad Johnson was in awe when cohost Shannon Sharpe disclosed how he got his dog.
The NFL Hall of Fame pass-catcher appeared on his "Nightcap" show with cohost Johnson and shared a bizarre experience on how he bought his dog and revealed how much he spent.

During their podcast on Tuesday, the two former NFL pass catchers had a hilarious exchange after Johnson asked Sharpe how much he paid for his Pomeranian dog.
Sharpe explained how he got the dog and detailed how the handler flew from her native country to a different one to pick it up and then to Los Angeles to deliver it to him.
"It was in February when I got a dog, and the dog was from overseas.
"The dog was beautiful. I wanted a dog that looked like this.

"I named him Teddy. We call him Teddy Bear," Sharpe said.
Johnson was stunned that Sharpe went out of the country to get the dog and implied he could have helped him.
"You went way overseas to get a Pomeranian?
"I could've gotten one from my homebody in the city," Johnson responded.

The former Cincinnati Bengals receiver asked Sharpe how much the dog cost and Sharpe answered it was 10 "bands."
Johnson followed up by asking what "bands" signified, and Sharpe said that a band is $1,000.
"Man, you paid $10,000 for a dog? 10,000 American dollars?
"C'mon, man, I could've gotten you a Pom out of the city for $300!" Johnson said in shock.
Sharpe continued to express that it was worth it since the dog was from overseas and the travel fees he had to cover for the lady to bring the dog.
Despite the story, Johnson still couldn't "wrap his head around" the price spent for the dog, compounded with the vaccinations, food, and vet bills.
"Now that we're a pair, you need to run things by me before you make those types of decisions where you're paying that kind of money for anything," Johnson joked.
